Overview

Technology & Residential Care: Residential for Sex Trafficking Survivors Working Group

This event is set for 8 am PT | 11 am ET | 3 pm UTC.

July’s Residential Care Working Group will explore how organizations are navigating technology and media in programs. Together, we’ll share lessons learned, discuss challenges and promising practices, and hear about therapeutic tech tools and smartphones specially developed to support program participants in their journeys.

Technology Focused Special Guests:

Aqua X – Smartphones for Residential Programs

Aqua X uses OS-level controls that cannot be bypassed, giving staff complete visibility and oversight without workarounds. Built-in safety features – including explicit content detection on camera usage, GPS monitoring, device curfews, and full activity replay, help protect residents while supporting healthy digital engagement. As residents progress through program phases, Aqua X seamlessly adjusts permissions and restrictions, allowing technology access to evolve alongside their recovery journey.

Point of View Story

Point of View Story creates guided psychoeducational films and supplemental materials that are designed to increase awareness, deepen trauma processing, and reduce future exploitation from CSE and trafficking. When a trained facilitator implements these open-ended short films, clients can experience a greater sense of compassion, empowerment, and healing.

Across the Atlas Free Network, exceptional leaders are driving change. Through dynamic, topic-focused Working Groups, members come together to exchange insights, inspire one another, and shape thought leadership that propels the anti-trafficking movement forward.

This Residential Care Working Group is led by Network Members for Network Members. Interested in leading a session? Reach out to membership@atlasfree.org.
