Your stay at Barceló Maya Tropical is included as part of your registration. As an all inclusive resort attached to five other Barceló Maya hotels, Barceló Maya offers a number of fun activities and amenities you can enjoy during the conference!
When you arrive at the resort Atlas Free will have a private check in with a mocktail hour. There will be a special guest service desk set up so attendees can book their specialty restaurants they would like to go to throughout their visit. Coffee and water will be available in sessions, and restaurants are available all day depending on the buffet of choice.

Tipping is not required at the resort, but it is appreciated. You may choose to tip hotel staff who assist with services such as dining service, luggage support, housekeeping, or help with activities or excursions. If you decide to tip, small cash amounts are appropriate and entirely at your discretion.
You may extend your stay before/after the gathering by booking extra nights directly through Barceló Maya. Atlas Free is not responsible for additional costs incurred by booking extra nights.
No. You do not have to be a Network Member to attend, but joining the Atlas Free Network includes significant benefits, including registration discounts.
The closest major airport to the Barceló Maya complex is Cancun International Airport (CUN), located about 45-50 miles (72-80 km) north, with travel time around 1 to 1.5 hours; while Cozumel (CSM) is geographically closer, CUN generally offers better flight options.
Yes, Wi-Fi is included. It’s a shared network available to all guests and offers approximately 10 MB speed.
The Barceló Maya Grand Resort complex offers a variety of accessibility features to support guests with mobility needs. The main public areas, restaurants, reception, and many pathways around the resort are equipped with ramps and wheelchair-friendly access, and elevators serve upper floors in many of the buildings. The resort also has accessible rooms with wider entrances and accessible bathroom features available upon request and subject to availability, and many guests report that wheelchair accessibility works well across the complex.
While the resort grounds are large and sometimes spread out, internal shuttle services (such as the resort’s double-decker bus around the property) can make moving between sections easier for those with mobility considerations.
Note: Beach areas themselves may have limited mobility-specific infrastructure (e.g., no permanent mats), and some mobility features (like beach wheelchairs) may be available for rent or by request rather than permanently installed.
Barceló Maya is largely smoke-free in accordance with Mexican law. Smoking (including vaping) is not permitted in indoor areas, restaurants, pools, or beach areas, and is allowed only in designated outdoor smoking areas as indicated by the resort.
