Atlas Free built Wayplace, a web application, to help human trafficking survivors find the right services for their individual needs and preferences.
Wayplace is:
- A real-time database of services for human trafficking survivors in the United States.
- A filter system where survivors prioritize the services and preferences most important to them.
- A secure tool that limits any storing or sharing of survivors’ private information or data.
For many years, seeking help meant that survivors or their advocates (those assisting survivors to find services) had to make dozens of calls and emails to organizations — often to find out that a service is no longer active, doesn’t have any openings, doesn’t serve a certain age group, or can’t meet the specific needs of the survivor.
Wayplace exists to help survivors in the U.S. find the right services easier.
How It Works
1. Service Request
- Fill out the service request on the online tool.
- Answer all questions to the best of your ability.
- Click “Submit.”
Filter for Your Preferences:
- Filter preferences by selecting “New Service Request.”
- Select preferences in a program.
- You can also select your location preference!
- Select programs that fit your preferences to learn more.
- After viewing, select send service request.
2. Provider Review
After a program receives the service request, they will review and determine whether their services fit the individual’s needs.
3. Match
- If the program determines, “yes,” to the review above, they will select “matched”
and you will receive an email. - The email will contain a phone number and email to the organization. Simply
reach out to the program directly.
4. Placement
- You may be asked by the service organization to share a few more details.
- Once placement is decided, the service organization will arrange all further intake procedures.
You do not need to be a member of Atlas Free to submit a service request. Anyone across the United States can use Wayplace to help survivors connect with services.

Wayplace exists to help you find services for recovery from trafficking or sexual exploitation. The Wayplace form collects some basic information on your needs and preferences to better help us do that.
By completing this service request form, you are agreeing to allow us to share this information with the Wayplace network of service organizations, for the purpose of finding you appropriate services. This form must be filled out completely before submission. ALL INDIVIDUAL INFORMATION WILL BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL within the Wayplace network. You will be given contact information directly if any agency has availability and is able to consider you for placement. Wayplace will not replace the assessment process of individual organizations; it is a facilitation tool only.
We or our partners may publicly share aggregated information such as trends in survivors’ needs when doing so helps us advocate for survivors as a group. We will never publicly share information about individuals.
